My final year?!

I can hardly believe I’m stepping into my final year of Art Education. It feels both grounding and a little bit magical, especially after the whirlwind of a summer that carried me here. The past few months have been a blur of colour, movement, and connection; drifting between art markets, lively events, and exhibitions where my work found its place in the world beyond my studio walls. Each moment felt like a small spark, slowly lighting a path I’m only just beginning to understand.

Certificate of authenticity

There’s something so special about seeing people pause in front of your work, about conversations that unfold unexpectedly, and about the quiet excitement of new commission opportunities appearing like little doorways waiting to be opened. This summer didn’t just keep me busy; it reshaped how I see myself as an artist, giving me a growing sense of confidence and curiosity about what I’m capable of creating.

Now, standing at the beginning of this final year, I feel a gentle but determined pull forward. I want to document everything, the messy in-between stages, the bursts of inspiration, the doubts, the breakthroughs. I want to let my practice evolve naturally, to follow ideas as they twist and bloom, and to keep building something that feels honest and entirely my own.

My private studio space

This year feels less like an ending and more like the start of something unfolding, an open sketchbook waiting to be filled!

With love and minerals,

Ellie Jane
